Mosaic International Summit - Doha2011 - Day 10

Graduation Day!

In this day all delegates will team up and head for our final field visit to Vodafone Qatar, so after a quick breakfast we all went to the coaches and headed for Vodafone which is also located in Qatar Science, Technology, and Research Park (QSTRC). We arrived there at around 9 am and were offered very delicious local sweet and appetizers dishes done by employees at Vodafone.

We had our morning coffee and then we all gathered at Al Majles; a vast Arabic style area where we all sat down and listened to a brief about Vodafone and their latest initiative for local women, then we sat down with some of these women and had few discussions with them. Eventually we left Vodafone back to our hotel for lunch and graduation.

After lunch, we all met with Jonathan who briefed us about tomorrow’s official closing ceremony which will be held in Qatar Foundation under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess AlMayyasa Bint Hamad Bin Khalifah Al Thani, the daughter of His Royal Highness the Emir of Qatar. All details and instructions were given to us.

Right after the brief, we all went to our suites to dress formally and then re-gathered in the main conference hall for graduation and certificates. Jonathan appeared in a local Arabic costume and he and the organizing team called the delegates by their countries and granted them with participation certificates and a group photo for all delegates. Afterwards we took lots of personal pictures.

Later that evening we had our closing dinner which was very emotional and funny and lots of us had the chance to speak and extend many many thanks and gratitude to the amazing organizing team: Jonathan, Alison, Victoria, Zahara, Numaan, and Sharif, and also to team leaders and each other. It was really emotional and beautiful.

After dinner we had some free time that we used to go to City Center to have a cup of coffee and look for presents to buy for our families.
