Today is the second day of field visits and it is a busy day! Our team is scheduled for two very interesting visits to ASPIRE Zone and Grand Hyatt Doha.
After breakfast we headed to the coaches and departed to our morning project visit to ASPIRE Academy for Sports Excellence which is truly miraculous: a breathtaking vast area containing everything you can imagine in the field of sports, fitness, luxury, and sports academic education from Khalifa Stadium with its astonishing Torch Tower to the indoor stadiums, academic school, student dorms, fitness centers, 5-star hotel, congress and exhibition halls, restaurants, health clubs, and even a worldwide acknowledged Orthopedic and Sports Injuries Hospital!
Our visit there dragged lots of WOWs from us and started by coffee and a warm welcome by the administration and an introductory session given to us by an official in the academy. After that we started a tour in the Zone and saw all the amazing facilities and even the preparations to host the Arab Games due in December this year in Qatar. After the tour and some group photos we headed immediately for our afternoon project visit.
We arrived at Grand Hyatt Doha by lunch time and were offered a 5-star lunch by the administration of the hotel. The lunch was superb and really luxurious. After lunch we toured the hotel and were dazzled by the amazing luxurious facilities they offer. By evening and after praying we were invited to the meeting room where numerous staff members talked to us about the hotel, their experience in it, and even their inspiring life stories and dreams. We were addressed by the GM, HR Manager, F&B Manager, PR Manager, and some employees as well. The session was long that we had to politely apologize for not staying for the refreshments and coffee they have offered after the session.
We immediately ran to the coaches and went back to the Hotel for another meeting regarding our assigned presentation.
That night, me and my fellow delegate and new brother from Pakistan Usman Qureishi stayed up all night (literally!) in order to finish our part of presentation task and that was to edit and direct all the data provided to us into a 15-minute movie..that night will always be remembered.. Love you Usman brother :).
