This day started hectically as I haven’t slept all night, and many thanks to Anas Najmi who got me and Usman our breakfast and coffee in Usman’s room while finalizing our presentation.
After delivering our final edition to the management team; we then all gathered in the conference room and sat back watching the creativity of each other; some of us presented their field visits impact and what they have learnt from the summit as a short movie (like us), while some of the teams presented their ideas as an interactive play, mimicking and online news bulletin, or even just speaking up on stage. The productions were really creative and fruitful.
After lunch we had another open forum in which we’ve listened to much creative speeches and acts from our fellow delegates; the Indonesians danced, the Bengalis spoke up profoundly, Zul from Malaysia made us all cry with his deeply inspiring life story, and Billie from UK forced us all into a moochi moochi dance!!
After the open forum the delegates had a free evening in which me and Usman used to go up swimming in the 14th floor in order to stay awake! We had really pleasant time. Later, we went out for a nice Pakistani dinner. That evening was also memorable.
When we came back from dinner, we had what I can call the best meeting in the summit that was suggested by a truly great person that I am lucky to have known: Khizra Bano Dhindsa. Khizra urged us to speak about the first impression we had when all of us met each other, and what everyone thinks about the best and worst in others’ personalities, and what could be done to improve ourselves from others perspectives. In that meeting I learned lots of things about myself that I have never known before and how I look in others’ eyes very honestly and profoundly. It was really fruitful thanks to the beloved police officer Khizra :).
